Technical Assistance, Research, & Publications
HT Pro Bono has assembled a library of law review articles, manuals, and other research materials to assist attorneys handling pro bono trafficking cases. Although HT Pro Bono does not provide legal advice, its attorneys offer extensive technical assistance to aid pro bono counsel in representing trafficking survivors. HT Pro Bono also undertakes in-depth research on implementation of U.S. federal law, such as the prevalence of criminal restitution orders for trafficking victims.
HT Pro Bono has created the only comprehensive database on federal civil trafficking cases filed in U.S. federal courts. Constantly updated with materials from PACER, the database may be used by pro bono attorneys to find sample complaints, sample briefs, key orders, and appellate decisions. Access to the password-protected database is provided to pro bono attorneys handling trafficking cases for victims. HT Pro Bono provides training and technical assistance for use of the database.
